The Cargo Bike Part 2
Yesterday the Geek put on the steering attachment and the platform base. The bike, however, has a great deal of flex. A great deal too much.She is now mulling over the situation and hoping for inspiration.
No, I think the angle iron is just not rigid enough. Will have to see what can be scrounged to fix that. The whole point of the bike is to not buy anything.
If it's only sagging, you could try running a steel cable about 2 inches below the iron, that'd stiffen it up a bit, but obviously wouldn't help if it the bike was bent downwards or side-to-side...

It's gonna need more support under the wood part. Is it flexing over a weld?

Mine has no flex at all, maybe you just need to box in the angle iron?
