Riding to the Lumber Yard

I admire anyone who would ride to Rona, in the seriously traffic congested area around Polo Park.And they are such cheerful, spring-like bikes that compliment the colour of the bike rack. Cute, cute, cute.

One Worn-out Back Wheel

The Geek is rather pleased that she has used her bicycle so much the the rear wheel shows signs of metal fatigue.
The rim has cracks and related deformation in two places.

Of course this means she will have to buy a new rim, but she thinks it is worth it.

Sunshine Yellow

The last two days have been been dull and rainy. These two bright spots of colour, taken earlier in the week, remind me of the sunshine that we should be having.

I have seen this woman riding by before, but today I managed to get a picture. I am just wondering where she bought the Gazelle. No one in Winnipeg sells them.

A Bright Spot on a Gloomy Day

While she was dressed entirely in black, her red floral shoes, and her (mother's) spring-green bicycle, provided some lovely colour.

I am fairly certain these were regular stop signs yesterday because they definitely caught my attention this afternoon.
Now they are either comical, or thought provoking, depending on your point of view.

Changes to my Route

Most of Manitoba, including the city of Winnipeg, is under a flood alert. This sandbag dike at the Elm Park bridge is just a temporary inconvenience for people who use this route.
